Job summary

PPG is seeking a Coatings Spray Technician, Weekend Nights, in Cleveland, OH to join the Paint Process Laboratory team. You will operate spray equipment and robotic systems to test coatings for real-world applications, reporting to the Applications Supervisor and working onsite.

No prior experience is required; paid training is provided. The shift runs Friday through Monday nights, 7pm–5:30am, with a base salary of $52,000 plus a weekend premium.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate spray equipment following standard procedures.
• Run paint applications tests using automated and robotic systems, spray and test samples of paint from production.
• Record process settings and test results using computer systems.
• Analyze and communicate detailed observations.
• Follow all safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized lab (5S standards).
• Enter data into applications logs.
