Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Charge Nurse for the 2BCE Intermediate Unit. This is an entry-level leadership role coordinating care on designated shifts, providing staff leadership, and ensuring patient flow while delivering direct patient care as needed.

Weekend night shifts (7pm-7am) with self-scheduling and premium WOW pay are offered. We require ASN or higher, Indiana RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, plus at least one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current Indiana RN license (or compact state).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare Provider required (within 6 months of hire).
• One year of nursing experience required; experience in the unit preferred.
• Professional certification as per unit/department standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as resource nurse coordinating care on designated shifts.
• Provide leadership to unit staff and ensure patient flow.
• Balance staffing needs during shifts and respond to concerns.
• Engage with team while performing direct patient care as needed.
