Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a part-time Charge Nurse for the 2D Neuro Unit, nights 7pm-7am. This entry-level leadership role coordinates care on designated shifts and provides direct patient care as needed.

Responsibilities include staff leadership, managing staffing fluctuations, addressing departmental concerns, and ensuring smooth patient flow while overseeing team members on shift.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree required.
• RN license Indiana or Compact.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (within 6 months of hire).
• NIHSS certification required (within 10 weeks of hire).
• One year of nursing experience required; one year in area of specialty preferred.
• Professional/Specialty certification as per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as resource nurse for the department and provide leadership to staff.
• Coordinate patient care on designated shifts and oversee staffing fluctuations.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while leading the team.
• Address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow on shift.
