Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health Corporate - Chaplain Services is seeking a chaplain to provide holistic spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. The role supports on-call rotations, including alternating weekends, with a part-time schedule and evening/night hours.

Qualifications include a graduate degree (MA/MDiv or equivalent), ACPE-certified CPE units, and at least 3 years of clinical chaplain experience. The position emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to the

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field.
• 4 units of CPE; at least three ACPE-accredited; board certification eligible within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Delivers holistic ministry of spiritual care for patients, families, team members and physicians.
• Provides spiritual care, consultation and short-term counseling per site and system policies.
• Responds to codes, emergencies and crises.
• Supports families with procedures surrounding illness, death, and contacting significant persons.
• Promotes patient safety by reporting issues and participating in safety initiatives.
• Participates in department life, site coverage, weekends and holidays; serves on committees as assigned.
• Mentors students in CPE and provides feedback to supervisors.
• Supports the mission and values of Advocate Aurora Health in clinical responsibilities.
