Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System seeks a Needs Assessor for weekend night shifts (Fri-Sun). The role provides risk assessment via phone and walk-ins, coordinates referrals, and supports admissions, including insurance pre-certification.

A master’s in behavioral health or RN credentials is required, with preferred crisis intervention experience. Responsibilities include liaising with referral sources, patients, families, and unit staff, ensuring appropriate level of care and smooth intake

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or RN credentials required in behavioral health.
• Experience with intake, admission and crisis intervention preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone and walk-in risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Serve as initial contact with referral sources and potential patients.
• Coordinate referral and intake process and determine level of care.
• Facilitate admission process including insurance pre-certification.
• Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and staff.
