Parkwood Behavioral Health System is seeking an Admissions Coordinator (Evening, full-time) to manage patient flow, handle internal and external inquiries, and ensure accurate documentation of all NARC-related information. The role requires compassion, urgency, and strong assessment skills for referrals.

The ideal candidate has a health/human services background, with a preference for psychiatric experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in health or human services preferred.
• One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.
• CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the flow of organization information and provides a responsive environment for receiving internal and external customers via telephone and face to face.
• Receives calls and unplanned individual/family walk-ins with compassion, empathy, and a sense of service and urgency, and to insure each person receives an appropriate assessment by NARC or referral.
• Takes needs assessment calls, completes Inquiry Call form information, thoroughly and accurately documents calls and other NARC-related paperwork.
• Functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System.
