Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a part-time Physician Assistant in Neonatology: Main - Pediatrics: Neonatology to support day shift with weekend 5a-5p and holiday rotation, totaling 24 hours per week.

You will assess and manage neonatal patients, order diagnostics, document in the EMR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, family-centered care. This role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in state(s) of practice and NCCPA certification.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant.
• No experience required.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required prior to or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and determines treatment plans appropriate for neonatal patients.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies; prescribes interventions.
• Provides health promotion, disease prevention, and patient-family education.
• Works with an interdisciplinary team and escalates care when needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the EMR and supports compliant coding.
