Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Physician Assistant specialized in Neonatology to support a 32-hour work week in a 24/7 open unit. The role includes day, night, weekend coverage with no on-call requirement, and involves collaborative care within a multidisciplinary neonatal team.

Qualified candidates will hold an active PA license, NCCPA certification, and DEA registration, with a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies. Relevant pediatric/neonatal experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Active PA license(s) in state(s) of practice.
• Active PA national board certification from the NCCPA.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and manages treatment plans for neonates.
• Orders, performs, interprets diagnostic studies, and prescribes interventions.
• Maintains EMR documentation and engages in multidisciplinary care.
• Participates in quality, safety, and education initiatives as needed.
