Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN seeks a Charge Nurse WOW for the 2D Neuro Unit. This part-time, night-shift role includes self-scheduling and weekly hours on the 7pm-7am schedule. Eligible staff may receive a sign-on bonus and premium pay for weekend WOW shifts.

The unit focuses on high-quality, stroke-informed neuroscience care with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. The candidate will lead staff, coordinate patient flow, and provide direct patient care while managing staffing

Qualifications

• ASN required and RN license Indiana or compact.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS certification required within 10 weeks of hire.
• One year of nursing experience required; one year in area of specialty preferred.
• Professional/Specialty certification as per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as a resource nurse for the department and coordinate care on designated shifts.
• Provide leadership to unit staff and oversee patient flow during shifts.
• Balance staffing needs and respond to departmental concerns while delivering direct patient care.
