Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN seeks a charge nurse for the 2D Neuro unit. This part-time position (24 hours weekly) covers nights (7pm–7am) with self-scheduling and a sign-on bonus for experienced applicants. Acts as resource nurse, coordinating care and staffing while delivering direct patient care.

Qualifications include ASN or higher, Indiana RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, NIHSS within 10 weeks, and 1 year of nursing experience. EOE and Pathway to Excellence designation.

Qualifications

• ASN nursing degree (minimum)
• Current Indiana RN license (or compact state)
• BLS for healthcare provider required
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS certification within 10 weeks of hire
• One year of nursing experience; area experience preferred
• Professional/specialty certification as per unit standards

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care on designated shifts as resource nurse.
• Provide leadership to unit staff in patient care.
• Coordinate staffing fluctuations and address departmental concerns.
• Oversee employees on shift while performing related work.
