Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a part-time Museum Clerk to help run two Mansfield museums. You will greet visitors, lead tours, and assist with exhibits, education programs, and historical research. Saturday work is regular, with a weekly cap of 19 hours.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, careful handling of artifacts, and support for museum operations in a community-centered setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to classify antiques, documents, and other historical items.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education in museum studies/historic preservation.
• One year of museum studies/work preferred.
• Knowledge of historical research and educational display techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of laws/regulations related to museum operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet museum visitors in person and by phone; ensure visitor safety.
• Lead guided tours of the Man House Museum.
• Assist with educational programs, events, and exhibitions.
• Assist with historical and genealogical research for patrons.
• Help change exhibits and organize exhibit materials.
• Compile and organize donated or loaned historical documents.
