Job summary

The Batavia Park District is seeking a Weekend Guest Services Attendant for a short-term seasonal role at the Batavia Depot Museum. You will assist patrons with exhibits, museum programs, gift shop sales, and events.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering questions, handling calls, processing payments, and maintaining welcoming visitor areas. This is a weekend-focused position for September–December, not eligible for benefits, paying $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Interest in local history.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Batavia Depot Museum and assess exhibit space and outbuildings for general upkeep.
• Greet visitors and provide accurate and complete information regarding exhibits and events.
• Manage incoming calls and address patron inquiries in person and on the phone.
• Process gift shop payments.
• Responsible for upkeep of visitor areas to ensure the museum is welcoming.
• Follow District and Museum communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
• Perform all jobs and tasks within guidelines and rules of Park District’s Safety program.
