Job summary

The City of Gastonia seeks a Security/Maintenance staff member to safeguard museum employees, visitors, and collections while delivering high-quality customer service. You will perform security checks, assist with crowd control, and respond to incidents, reports, and emergencies.

Applicants should have high school education, experience in safety or maintenance, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work includes weekends, holidays, nights, and shifts to cover museum operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, public safety, security, or building maintenance.
• Ability to prepare written reports or plans.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily closing procedures and security checks for museum buildings and grounds.
• Manage crowd control, traffic control, and parking for programs and events.
