Job summary

The City of Gastonia is seeking staff to operate recreation facilities, including pools, ranges, lakefront operations, and rides. You will ensure patron safety, enforce rules, collect fees, and prepare revenue reports while assisting and informing the public on proper use and safety measures.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, inspecting hazards, operating machinery, and coordinating with management to provide a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service and money handling.
• Knowledge of boating/fishing; ability to obtain Wildlife Services Shotgun Safety Certificate.
• Ability to become First Aid/CPR/AED certified within six months.
• Ability to be trained under NC Department of Labor specifications.
