Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Part-time Weekend MRI Technologist I at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Duties include performing MRI procedures, patient screening, and safety compliance for Saturday and Sunday shifts.

The role supports high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. Qualifications require an Associate’s degree with an MRI or radiologic certificate; ARMRIT/ARRT credentials and CPR are required within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from an accredited program.
• Experience not required; MRI certificate or cross-training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI examinations across diverse patient populations with proper factors and protocols.
• Screen and prepare patients, verify orders, administer contrast, and establish IV access.
• Maintain MRI safety standards and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Perform quality assurance, monitor equipment, and participate in performance improvement.
• Coordinate patient flow with teams, document in EHR, and ensure image transfer to PACS.
