Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to support imaging procedures with emphasis on accurate patient positioning, selection of technical factors, and image quality. The role includes preparing patients, administering contrast as needed, archiving images, and ensuring proper workflow for PACS integration.

The position requires ARRT/ARMRIT certification, 2 years of radiology or MRI program training, CPR certification, and commitment to safety standards and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Need a radiology/MRI program graduate with ARRT or ARMRIT certification.
• CPR certification required; stroke care training annually (1 hour).
• Familiarity with PACS networking and MRI workflow responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients; select technical factors for optimal MRI quality.
• Administer IV contrast when indicated and document any allergic reactions.
• Archive images to optical disks and verify studies for radiologist interpretation.
• Operate MRI equipment and assist with patient transfers and preparation.
• Document patient history, charges, and department records for statistics and billing.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in safety in-services.
