Job summary

DOCS Health seeks an independent contractor Physician Assistant to support military personnel through health assessments and health readiness programs.

You will review records, interview service members, and document readiness classifications using our systems. The role emphasizes weekend work, travel to various locations including remote installations, and adherence to military health protocols.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in the state (required).
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Experience in Primary/Urgent/Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, terminology preferred.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high patient flow.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Not required to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the medical record using a proprietary system.
