Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited MT program and successful completion of a national exam (ASCP/AMT).
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in MT.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine Microbiology tasks and assists in another discipline based on expertise.
• Prepares specimens for microscope examination.
• Operates laboratory equipment including Vitek, Virtuo, centrifuges, and incubators.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
• Reports to a supervisor or manager.
