Zusammenfassung

MaineGeneral Health is seeking enthusiastic Lab Assistants to join our microbiology team on a per diem basis for weekend and as-needed coverage. This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in medical lab sciences or related fields who want hands-on experience while maintaining a flexible schedule.

As a member of the microbiology lab, you will assist in routine tests, prepare reagents, maintain safety standards, and document results in the LIS.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree program in biological sciences, microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of microbiological principles and laboratory techniques.

• Assist in performing routine microbiological tests and procedures under the supervision of experienced lab technicians and microbiologists.

• Assist in documenting and recording test results in the laboratory information system.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace, adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.
