The ideal candidate has 2+ years on-air experience, proficiency with WSI MAX, and a passion for engaging audiences during severe weather events. Weekend availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of on-air and digital broadcast meteorology experience.
• Proven track record creating engaging video content for digital platforms.
• Hands-on proficiency with WSI MAX.
• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science.
• AMS or CBM/NWA seal preferred.
• Ability to handle live, severe weather coverage with poise.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and weather-shift hours.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiplatform weather storytelling across broadcast, OTT, streaming, and social channels.
• Deliver dynamic digital weather updates and radar explanations for viewers.
• Provide field reporting during significant weather events to engage the audience.
