Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Direct Care Support Staff member to provide safe, therapeutic care on-site during weekend shifts. This part-time role focuses on crisis residential support within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work with clients one-on-one, ensure medication compliance, assist with transportation to appointments, and help develop individualized service plans in a compassionate community setting.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the program.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a residential counselor and working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain skills for independent living and socialization.
• Ensuring medication compliance, including safety, dosage, and cleanliness.
• Collaborating with a service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Providing transportation and attending clients’ medical appointments; advocating throughout the appointment and documenting follow-up instructions.
