Job summary

Quail Park of Lynnwood is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant in our Tribute Memory Care Department. You will help plan and coordinate resident activities, support the care team, and engage residents through meaningful social interactions.

Requirements include 1 year in a senior living setting, CNA/HCA certification, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid. This on-site role offers full-time hours with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a senior living environment or social activity leadership.
• Experience in memory care setting preferred.
• CNA/HCA certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong reading/writing/speaking English.
• CPR/First Aid and Food Handler credentials current.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities.
• Plan, coordinate and participate in social events and outings to meet resident needs.
• Model effective communication and behavior management; engage residents in meaningful activity.
• Assist in recruiting/training volunteers to support the activity program.
• Ensure activities and outings are conducted safely while maintaining resident dignity.

Quail Park of Lynnwood

Are you an outgoing person with experience in a senior living community? Come join the Quail Park of Lynnwood team as a Life Engagement Assistant in our Tribute Memory Care Department! Must be able to drive the bus for outings (will provide training).

Our Life Engagement team plans a variety of events and activities to keep our residents stimulated and engaged. As a member of this team, you would plan, assist with, and coordinate these social events and activities. You will also assist the care team with monitoring and supporting residents by keeping up to date on social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies.

2 Schedules available:

Schedules (may be flexible):

Friday, Saturday, Sunday 9:00a - 5:00p

Saturday, Sunday, Monday 9:00a - 5:00p

What You’ll Do:

Memory Care Activities Assistant | Life Engagement Assistant | Driver | CNA | HCA

• Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities
• Assist, plan, coordinate and participate in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities to ensure resident social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met
• Act as a role model to community team members for communication and behavior management strategies and engage residents in meaningful activity and social interaction
• Ensure all resident activities, outings and events occur according to scheduleAssist in recruiting, training and scheduling an adequate number of volunteers to support the community activity program
• Support the team ensuring all resident care and activity is provided in a safe and effective manner while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice and respect

What We’re Looking For:

Memory Care Activities Assistant | Life Engagement Assistant | Driver | CNA | HCA

• At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
• Previous experience working in a memory care setting
• CNA/HCA
• Valid driver's license
• Must be ablet to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
• Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s credentials
• Proficiency in basis computer skills including MS Word and Excel
