Job summary

Quail Park of Lynnwood is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant to plan and lead social activities for residents in the Tribute Memory Care Department. You will also assist the care team in monitoring residents, maintain social histories, and model respectful behavior management.

Two positions are open with schedules including Thu-Sat 9:00a-5:00p and Sun-Tue 9:00a-5:00p. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid are required. Wages range $23.00–$25.00/hour DOE.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a senior living environment or social activity leadership.
• Experience working in a memory care setting.
• CNA/HCA certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must read, write and speak English to communicate with residents and team members.
• Must meet health-related requirements for state licensure.
• CPR/First Aid and Food Handler credentials are required.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing scheduled resident activities.
• Plan, coordinate and participate in social events, outings and on-site activities to meet residents' social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs.
• Model communication and behavior management strategies for the team and engage residents in meaningful activity and social interaction.
• Ensure all resident activities and events occur as scheduled.
• Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling volunteers to support activity programs.
• Support the team to provide care and activities safely while maintaining resident dignity, choice and respect.

Quail Park of Lynnwood

Are you an outgoing person with experience in a senior living community? Come join the Quail Park of Lynnwood team as a Life Engagement Assistant in our Tribute Memory Care Department! Must be able to drive the bus for outings (will provide training).

Our Life Engagement team plans a variety of events and activities to keep our residents stimulated and engaged. As a member of this team, you would plan, assist with, and coordinate these social events and activities. You will also assist the care team with monitoring and supporting residents by keeping up to date on social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies.

Hiring for 2 positions:
Schedules (may be flexible):
Thursday - Saturday 9:00a - 5:00p
Sunday - Tuesday 9:00a - 5:00p

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities
• Assist, plan, coordinate and participate in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities to ensure resident social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met
• Act as a role model to community team members for communication and behavior management strategies and engage residents in meaningful activity and social interaction
• Ensure all resident activities, outings and events occur according to schedule
• Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling an adequate number of volunteers to support the community activity program
• Support the team ensuring all resident care and activity is provided in a safe and effective manner while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice and respect.

What We’re Looking For:

Memory Care Activities Assistant | Life Engagement Assistant | Driver | CNA | HCA

• At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
• Previous experience working in a memory care setting
• CNA/HCA
• Valid driver's license
• Must be ablet to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
• Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s credentials
• Proficiency in basis computer skills including MS Word and Excel
