Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for weekend shifts in Ponca City, OK.

The role involves specimen handling, testing, reporting, and maintaining records with adherence to CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA guidelines. The candidate should have an AS degree in Medical Lab Technology (or BS in Medical Technology) and MT/MLT certification or eligibility, with about one year of high-complexity lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
ASCP MT/MLT certification or eligible for national MT/MLT certification.
1 year of clinical experience in high complexity testing preferred.
Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience in highly complex testing for BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.

Responsibilities

Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test result.
Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures (see department SOPs).
Review and release test results.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
Adhere to quality control policies, document all QC activities, calibrations and maintenance.
Follow established policies and procedures when tests are not within acceptable performance levels.
Identify problems that may affect test performance and notify senior staff.
Document corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
