Job summary
HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist (MLT/MLS) for weekend coverage. The role performs routine to complex tests across the clinical laboratory and prepares reports to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Under supervision, you will gain experience in Flow Cytometry and core lab operations, with training provided. Qualified candidates have an associate's degree and NAACLS-accredited MLT program or equivalent, with certification
Qualifications
- Associate's degree plus NAACLS-certified MLT program or equivalent.
- 60 credit hours with chemistry and biology and completion of a 50 week US military medical laboratory training course.
- Associate degree in Laboratory Sciences (including chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory) is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tests in medical laboratory under supervision.
- Ensure validity and accuracy of test results.
- Create reports for findings across major areas of the clinical laboratory.
- Training in Flow Cytometry and core lab operations is provided.
