Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Medical Driver in San Diego, CA to transport lab specimens, records, pharmaceuticals, and more in a company vehicle. The role includes hands-on loading/unloading, route planning, and maintaining professional client interactions.

Requires a valid driver’s license for 3+ years and the ability to pass drug screening. Part-time position with weekend shifts, vaccination proof required, and comprehensive benefits on offer including health plans and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19+ years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load/unload items safely and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Collaborate with teammates and adapt to client needs across routes.
