Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a part-time Weekend Medical Delivery Driver/LSR in Hammond. You will spend most of your day driving a company vehicle, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and supplies to client locations while ensuring safety and accuracy with handheld scanners.

The role includes weekend shifts with a $1/hour differential, totaling $18.05/hour. We offer training, career growth, medical benefits, 401(k), PTO, a company vehicle and fixed schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Excellent driving history and safe driving practices.
• Able to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and hospital supplies.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Adhere to operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment safely.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
