Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a part-time Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Tampa, FL. The role involves weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM) with a $1.00/hr weekend differential, totaling $17.00/hr. You will drive a company vehicle to transport medical items and use a handheld scanner to track shipments.

You must be 19+, hold a valid driver’s license for 3+ years, have a clean driving record, and pass drug screenings. Training is provided, and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Must have an excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport laboratory specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials in a company vehicle.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through transportation cycles.
• Load and unload items with proper equipment and observe schedules and policies.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Demonstrate safe driving behavior and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to support a collaborative MedSpeed culture.
