Job summary

nVent is seeking a Materials Coordinator in Blaine, MN to ensure materials are prepared, organized, and available for production lines. You will support material flow by de-trash, staging, and moving materials, while maintaining a clean and safe market area and assisting other handlers as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork and independent work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with a focus on safety, waste disposal, and efficient material handling to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Safely lift, carry, push and pull materials as required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of warehouse, logistics or manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• De-trash products in the market area prior to delivery to production lines.
• Prepare and organize materials to ensure they are production ready.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized market area.
• Stage and prepare products for transportation to production lines.
• Assist Material Handlers with material movement during downtime.
• Dispose of cardboard and waste using designated compactors.
• Monitor work areas for housekeeping concerns and address cleanliness.
• Support inventory organization and material flow as directed.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards and operational guidelines.
• Communicate shortages or concerns to supervisors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
