Job summary

The Caldwell Group Inc is seeking a Material Handler for the Rockford, IL area to support weekend operations. The role focuses on moving raw and WIP materials, staging, and kitting as needed, with a three-day weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 6:00am-6:00pm) and a shift differential.

Responsibilities include routing kits, stocking, and inventory control, along with adherence to safety rules and operating procedures. Proximity to ERP workflows is required, with blueprints interpretation for efficient

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year forklift experience.
At least 1 year overhead crane experience.
Experience with ERP systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

Kits stock and/or sales order jobs from the work center priority list based on what is ready to be kitted and coming due.
Routes kitted jobs to their designated staging areas.
Routes kitted jobs to next operation based on the priority order the foremen assigns those jobs.
Picks up all green tagged parts and takes them to the next staging area whether for OPPNT, painted in-house, outside operation, etc.
Puts away stock or sales order parts that are not ready for kitting in the designated location.
Manufacturing receipts stock parts into inventory.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment.
Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
Demonstrates the Caldwell values in all work activities.
