Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Weekend Manager for a full-time position in Newton, MA. The role involves coordinating weekend activities, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to care policies for residents.

The Weekend Manager shift runs Saturday 9am to Sunday 9pm (36 hours) and includes one asleep overnight period. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree preferred and experience in human services, with MAP certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to promote community inclusion activities.
  • MAP certification within 90 days of start date and maintain MAP certification for duration of employment.
  • Massachusetts Driver's License; required.
  • First Aid and CPR training required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Required COVID-19 vaccination confirmation.
  • Clearance of CORI background checks as required by state and federal law.
  • Clearance of DPPC registry as required by state law.
  • A cleared search of fingerprinting through the DDS criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the P2P Personnel Policies and Procedures and the P2P Policies to Promote Human Dignity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of ISP programs designed to develop personal competencies based on Long-Range plans supporting people in accessing community services and activities.
  • Complete all documentation responsibilities and maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to the individuals supported by P2P.
  • Participate in agency and Department of Developmental Services training programs and attend staff meetings.
  • Assist and support people in maintaining healthy lifestyles in a safe and secure environment.
  • Participate in the maintenance of house, grounds, furnishings, and equipment.
  • Take direction from the Program Manager and participate in program and personnel evaluations.
  • Effectively communicate with Program Manager on a weekly basis regarding issues affecting residents/programming/property/etc.
  • Provide direction to and act as role model for other P2P staff on weekend shifts in absence of Program Manager.
  • Be responsible for monthly calendar of activities for the residents.
  • P2P staff may be reassigned to other P2P work locations based on the needs of the residents we support.

Education

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Pay: $28/hour for regular hours ($15/hr for Asleep Overnight Hours - typically 7hrs within an Overnight Asleep Shift)
