Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a weekend shift at Plant 4 Thermatech in Whitehall, MI. You will oversee preventative maintenance with engineering and maintenance staff to keep equipment running efficiently.

Responsibilities include directing maintenance, supervising a team, coordinating with outside contractors, and maintaining safety and building upkeep. The role requires 3+ years of leadership in maintenance, ability to read blueprints, and a focus on reliability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience supervising maintenance/skilled trades teams.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship not available for this position.
• Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
• Must promote and implement change with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises an effective team; plan meetings, performance appraisals, staffing, vacations, overtime, and assignments.
• Provides effective feedback and maintains documentation for disciplinary actions.
• Directs training and orientation to ensure EHS rules are known and understood.
• Maintains compliance with the collective bargaining agreement; interfaces with union officials and addresses grievances.
• Reviews production and operating reports to resolve issues and prevent delays.
• Inspects machines/equipment for performance and utilization; promotes EHS and continuous improvement.
• Oversees maintenance of equipment and building; coordinates with engineering and outside contractors.
