Job summary

Menasha Corporation, a leader in packaging solutions, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment in a Manufacturing/Food Environment. The role operates on the weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 5:00am–5:30pm) with safety as a priority and opportunities for continuous improvement across teams.

Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and can read blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, and use measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon business needs.
• Ability to work on rotating shift as needed.
• Ability to work in a production environment with moving equipment and people.
• Ability to read, comprehend and, where necessary, complete blueprints, electrical schematics, and manuals.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimum operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and correct them to maintain productivity and quality.
• Control downtime by communicating with all departments.
• Fabricate parts when needed and adjust devices and control instruments.
• Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories; conserve resources.
• Prepare maintenance reports and communicate actions and needs.
• Work safely and follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and perform other duties as assigned.
