Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation seeks a Machinist II for the weekend shift to perform a variety of machining processes and ensure part quality. You will operate mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment, starting from raw materials and completing precision parts with attention to revision levels and documentation.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree or 3–7 years of related experience, excellent inspection skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and programmers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3–7 years related experience and/or training.
• Experience with inspecting and ensuring part quality.
• Familiarity with quality assurance techniques.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow daily work schedule and prioritize work.
• Operate mills, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Perform mechanical inspection to verify parts meet specifications.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on tools.
• Assist team members to meet goals.
• Set up CNC machine tools with assistance from Journey Level Machinists.
• Communicate changes to programmers.
