Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation is seeking a dedicated machinist to operate machines, load bar stock, and unload parts, ensuring correct dimensions and finishes per prints.

Familiarity with micrometers, G-code knowledge, reading routers and blueprints, and following ISO procedures are required. Maintain 5S, safety, and collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements in Union City, PA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with micrometers and other measuring devices.
• Knowledge of G code preferred.
• Understand and comply with ISO procedures.
• Ability to read routers and blueprint drawings.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines by loading bar stock and unloading parts from the machine.
• Perform machine adjustments to achieve correct dimensions, finishes and quality.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues on the machine as needed.
• Preset tooling prior to placing into machine.
• Perform necessary machine adjustments or repairs safely.
• Identify when tooling needs replacement and change tooling effectively.
• Read work instructions, set-up sheets, routers, inspection plans and set up machines per customer requirements.
• Gauge and measure parts produced.
• Maintain 5S in the work area daily.
• Assist other departments with projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
