Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members and families.
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with IDD.
• Assist RN in delivering nursing services.
• Provide health-related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and assist with administration.
• Schedule preventative and routine medical appointments.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health-related data.
• Observe and report abnormal findings to physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for people supported and develop community supports.
