The role directs care delivery across units, serves as a liaison with the DON and unit managers, and participates in staff interviews and training needs assessment to support strong patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Current LPN licensure or pending licensure in the state.
• BLS/CPR certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing care delivery on a shift to achieve safe patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with the DON and Unit Managers to ensure adequate staffing.
• Participates in interviewing and evaluating nursing staff.
• Identifies staff educational needs and coordinates training.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
