FOX News Live is seeking a Freelance Production Assistant to join the Washington, DC weekend team. You will cut and edit video, select soundbites, and work with producers, writers, and editors to bring live news to air in a fast-paced control room.

The role requires experience in television news or live production, proficiency with non-linear editing software, and a strong eye for detail. Weekend hours and flexibility are essential.)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in television news or live production is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Cut and edit video, soundbites, and other visual elements for live broadcasts.
Collaborate with line producers and writers to identify the strongest elements.
Edit and turn around breaking news video quickly.
Work closely with editors to ensure all elements are organized and delivered on deadline.
Perform thorough quality control on every video element before it airs.
