Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Brentwood, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility team. Ideal candidate will be licensed in Tennessee (RRT or CRT), with BLS, able to evaluate and treat independently with geriatric residents and perform a range of respiratory therapies.

The schedule includes 4-6 hour shifts, may extend up to 8 hours, with Saturday and Sunday coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in the state practicing as RRT or CRT.
• State licensure and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and weekly/monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy; work in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and policies; track caseload and perform related duties.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
