Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Belle Meade, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic geriatric care team in a skilled nursing facility.

The RT will perform assessments, initiate therapies, and document care while working independently with residents to improve outcomes. Schedule includes 4-6 hour shifts (up to 8) and weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays, with licensure in-state and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for residents with respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff each quarter.
• Attend IDT meetings and maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
