Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Lakewood, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to provide independent respiratory care within a skilled nursing setting. You will evaluate residents, initiate therapies, and maintain detailed patient records while ensuring safety and quality care.

The role requires COARC-accredited education with an RRT/CRT license and BLS certification. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including nursing staff to support geriatric residents'

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients with respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates and assembles equipment.
• Performs bedside treatments and completes in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participates in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Performs duties in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
• Describes respiratory interventions: oxygen weaning, pulmonary rehab, aerosols, chest physiotherapy, CPAP/BIPAP, airway clearance.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
