Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidates must hold a state license and be able to work independently with geriatric residents and a passion for improving patient experiences.

The role requires completion of assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and participating in IDT meetings. Prior experience with tracheotomy and long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with diverse respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Described in the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual in areas of interventions including Oxygen weaning, Aerosol therapy, IPPB therapy, Chest physiotherapy, CPAP/BIPAP, High-Flow Oxygen, and more.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.
