Job summary

Silver Hill Hospital is seeking a Library Assistant to support the Director of Library Services in daily operations. You will help patients and staff locate books, check materials in and out at the front desk, and shelve items according to the library's categorization.

The role requires weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 4:00pm in New Canaan, CT. Responsibilities also include opening/closing duties, shelving, answering calls, and performing administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Past customer service experience preferred.
• CPR BLS and CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification after hire.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the library according to schedule and policies.
• Check materials in/out and shelve returned items.
• Assist patrons in locating materials and using computers and printers.
• Provide phone assistance and perform basic administrative tasks (copies, filing).
• Operate LibraryWorld to register patrons and monitor equipment.
