Job summary

Volo Sports is seeking an outgoing, dependable weekend host to be the heartbeat of our new Club Volo venue in downtown San Jose. You’ll welcome players, set the tone, and ensure games and events run smoothly.

You’ll work weekend shifts, check players in with the Volo Host App, report scores, prepare venues, and help create a welcoming, fun experience for everyone. You’ll be the first and last person players see each visit, helping players connect and leave with a smile.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or sports events preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills required.
• Able to stay calm and friendly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the league and deliver a great experience.
• Serve as the friendly point of contact throughout the 8-week season.
• Use the Volo Host App to check in players and report scores.
• Prepare venues before games, including basic setup.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment and build rapport with players.
• Ensure players feel supported and eager to return each week.
• Monitor gameplay and timing to keep leagues running smoothly.
• Enforce safety guidelines and league rules, escalate issues when needed.
• Share feedback and highlights with the Volo team.
• Encourage players to connect, socialize, and engage beyond the game.
• Promote upcoming leagues and events during league nights.
• Encourage sign-ups and referrals; distribute marketing materials.
