Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a Laser Operator for the Weekend Shift to safely set up and operate laser cutting equipment in the Fabrication department. You will produce high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications and customer expectations.

The role requires reading blueprints, maintaining equipment, and completing production documentation with a focus on quality and safety. This position offers a three-day weekend schedule and competitive pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience, preferably in metal fabrication or laser operations.
• Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and tape measures in both standard and metric measurements.
• Basic math skills using a calculator.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate computerized manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust laser cutting equipment using setup sheets and Kanban cards.
• Operate the laser control system and monitor machine performance.
• Load raw steel into the laser and unload finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Read blueprints and process sheets to produce parts accurately.
• Complete production documentation and maintain a clean, safe work area.
