Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Minnesota is seeking a Laser Operator for the Weekend Shift to safely set up and operate laser cutting equipment, producing precision parts for premium fitness equipment. You'll read blueprints, process sheets, and use Kanban and setup sheets; you'll verify quality, load raw steel, perform routine maintenance, and document production activities.

This role offers a 36-hour weekend schedule (Fri-Sun 5:00 AM–5:30 PM), paid for 40 hours, with competitive pay and

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication or laser operations preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, process sheets and tape measures in standard and metric units.
• Basic math proficiency and calculator use.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and adjust laser cutting equipment according to setup sheets.
• Operate laser control system and monitor machine performance.
• Load raw steel and unload finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality inspections of materials and products to ensure standards.
• Read blueprints and process sheets to produce parts accurately.
• Document production data and maintain PM logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other fabrication tasks.
