Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in Georgia seeks a full-time Laser Cutting Operator to set up, operate, and monitor fiber or CO2 laser equipment. You will read work orders, blueprints, and specs to ensure accurate production and quality.

The role requires standing, lifting, and basic maintenance, with overtime as needed. Experience with nesting software is preferred. Reliable transportation and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient at reading and interpreting work orders, blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
• Experience with nesting software and loading production programs into laser equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting equipment to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Perform machine setups, material loading/unloading, and adjustments to meet production requirements.
• Verify material dimensions, thickness, and quality prior to processing.
• Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using measuring tools and gauges to ensure specifications are met.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and report equipment or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production goals.

Job Duties & Qualifications:

Preferred Experience:

• Laser Cutting Operations (Fiber Laser, CO2 Laser, or similar equipment)
• Nesting Software (SigmaNEST, BySoft, ProNest, or similar)
• Blueprint Reading and Interpretation
• Sheet Metal Fabrication and Manufacturing
• Quality Inspection and Measurement Tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Tape Measures)
• Basic CNC Machine Operation and Programming Knowledge
• Press Brake Experience is a plus
• Forklift or Material Handling Equipment Experience is a plus
