Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Laboratory Technician for weekend night shift to grow within the company. You will test batches of compound for Tarkett Rubber Flooring products, correct out-of-spec batches, develop mixing and testing, perform raw material and finished product testing, and cross-train as a Colorist.

The role also includes color matching with a spectrophotometer, collaborating with Quality members, and ensuring safety in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test and discern variations in color.

Responsibilities

• Test batches of mixed material for rheological properties, color, hardness, tensile, and elongation.
• Correct out-of-spec batches and enter deviation formulas into the information management system.
• Perform color matching and spectrophotometer analysis to ensure color meets specifications.
