Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the weekend night shift to test batches of Tarkett Rubber Flooring compounds, correct out-of-spec material, and support development testing. The role includes cross-training as a Colorist and contributing to quality assurance across raw materials and finished products.

You will perform color matching with a spectrophotometer, conduct standard tests, document results, and communicate findings to the Quality team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing laboratory testing and material analysis.
• Proficiency with documentation and data entry in standard systems.

Responsibilities

• Test all batches of mixed material and analyze rheological properties, color, hardness, tensile, and elongation.
• Correct out-of-spec batches and enter deviation formulas into the information management system.
• Colorist duties: perform color matches and analyze color with a spectrophotometer; ensure color quality to specifications.
• Complete shift documentation and communicate findings to Quality Members and Team Leaders.
• Assist in problem solving and root cause analysis as needed.
