Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Texas is seeking a Weekend Cook to join our scratch-based kitchen. You’ll step in on Saturdays and Sundays to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, ensuring meals are safely cooked, visually appealing, and portioned to resident preferences, while building warm relationships with residents and team members.

You will work with teammates to keep stations stocked, maintain a clean, safe kitchen, and follow food safety temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays, at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• Ability to secure food handler permits within two weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing; ensure each plate is appealing.
• Contribute ideas during meetings and stay open to feedback; monitor service line during meals.
• Complete opening and closing tasks for each shift; help teammates to maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations stocked and organized; refresh pantry items and monitor refrigeration.
• Ensure sanitary kitchen environment by cleaning work areas and recording food temperatures.
